Tim Munro

As a Chartered Professional Engineer Tim delivered major infrastructure projects in the Auckland region for many years but has now retired from engineering and along with his wife Janette concentrates on residential rentals and a relocatable sleepout business when they can fit this around their travels and family.  Tim and Janette commenced their property portfolio over 25 years ago with their primary investment mode being buy, improve/develop and hold. Over the past 15 years they have also developed a relocatable rental sleepout business which their three children now also invest in. Tim has been an active member of APIA since the early 2000s and has been on the Board for 2 years.

Since Tim commenced in property investment he has seen a significant increase in the professionalism of property investors, partially in response to increased regulation but also due to APIA (and NZPIF) giving property investors the opportunity to network and better educate themselves.  Tim believes that APIA is the key organisation for Auckland property investors to belong to to assist them in improving their professionalism, returns and enjoyment of their investment journey.
