APIA — the Auckland Property Investors Association — is a non-profit incorporated society for residential property investors in Auckland. We provide independent education, events, research, advocacy and community for our members.

Property investment companies make money by selling you something — properties, mortgages, accounting services, training programmes. APIA doesn’t sell any of those. We’re funded by member subscriptions and exist to serve members’ interests, not commercial ones.

Yes. APIA is a registered Incorporated Society in New Zealand. Our financial accounts are presented to members at the Annual General Meeting each year.

APIA is governed by an elected volunteer board of working investors and independent professionals.

Independent briefings, free or discounted event tickets, full access to APIA TV, the members’ directory, voting rights at the AGM, and direct access to our policy and advocacy work.

Yes. Your APIA membership is a tax-deductible business expense.

Memberships run for 12 months and don’t auto-renew unless you choose to opt in. You can cancel a trial membership at any time.

Only if you opt in to auto-renewal at sign-up. Otherwise, we’ll email you before your membership expires so you can choose whether to renew.

Membership funds three things: independent research and content, our advocacy work with councils and government, and the events and platform that make the association possible.
